Marina residence

The residential building is set on a sloped terrain, fully surrounded by dense Mediterranean vegetation, with views extending over the Kvarner Bay.

The apartments are organized into three typologies:

- ground floor units with direct access to greenery and terraces by the pool,

- first and second floor units with large terraces for outdoor living connected to the living area, and

- a top-floor unit with a large covered terrace and a pool

Vehicular access from the north, dense vegetation, and views towards the bay on the south defined both the orientation and the layout concept of the apartments as well as the building itself.

The typical floor plan consists of two larger, dual-oriented residential units and two smaller, single-oriented units.

The living areas are positioned along the southern façade with views of the Kvarner Bay, while the bedrooms are arranged along the eastern and western façades, overlooking greenery and the slopes of Učka.

The internal layout is expressed on the façades through pronounced terrace volumes and large glazed surfaces on the south, and individual openings of the bedrooms along the east and west façades.

By using materials such as warm-toned plaster and iroko wood ceiling finishes, the terrace space is treated as a continuation of the interior living area.
